AP Technical Expert

Objectives:

Conduct electrical product safety test as well as performance test on electrical products according to standards or testing methods

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Respect and apply the test program defined by the offer.

- Pick the samples from login clerks

- Prepare the samples for testing using prescribed testing methods following testing standards / specifications as required.

- Prepare test plan for lab

- Issue test data sheets for recording the test results / findings.

- Apply the standards with appropriate test methods defined by LCIE china procedures when applicable

- Apply the interpretations sheets (OSM CTL LCIE EK1 EK 9 etc) during the tests

- Perform construction checks and other testing on electrical products according to prescribed testing methods standards / specifications appropriate to the sample as required as complexity warrants.

- Accurately record test data and equipments used for tests if applicable

- Record the consumable use if needed

- Support and supervise if needed testing engineer to conduct testing according to relevant standards.

- Review test results / data provided by testing engineer.

- Manage the samples for subcontracted tests

- Review the results provided by the subcontracting labs

- Prepare test reports

- Transfer for signatory the test folders with all technical documents

- Transfer the samples to login clerks when tests are finished

- Provide feedback to testing Manager regarding processes and recommendations for improvements.

- Perform the lab test for the inspection team

- Update the folder status in Bistra

Quality

- Follow the internal quality system of LCIE China

- Adhere to BV CPS quality requirements

Skills and Requirements:

- Reliable

- Initiative and independence in solving problems and developing methods.

- Ability to perform multiple tasks by manager request.

- Individual and Team work ethic.

- Ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet or exceed deadlines (with help from manager if necessary).

- Proficiency with Windows Word & Excel.

- Working knowledge of IEC / EN / UL standards relating to electrical products.

- Electrical and mechanical aptitude.

- Knowledge of testing of electrical products from laboratory / manufacturing.

Education & Experience:

- High Diploma / Degree in Electrical engineering.

- 2 to 3 years of working experience in electrical product safety testing.

- Good knowledge of electrical product safety

- English speaking and writing candidate will be favored.
