Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Critical Access Hospital (Night Shift)
Location: Sulphur Springs MT
Assignment Type: Contract
Shift: Nights (6:00 PM 6:30 AM)
Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (Block scheduling available; holiday coverage required)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Position Overview
A healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join its team in a small rural Critical Access Hospital setting. This role involves providing high-quality patient care across Long-Term Care (LTC) and acute/swing bed units. The ideal candidate is adaptable self-motivated and capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in LTC and acute/swing bed settings
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders
- Monitor assess and document patient conditions accurately
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including toileting and routine rounds
- Supervise and delegate tasks to Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)
- Collaborate with Registered Nurses and interdisciplinary care teams
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using electronic medical records (CPSI/Evident)
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols policies and quality care standards
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (required)
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience
- Current BLS/BCLS certification (required)
- Experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) and acute care settings
- Ability to work independently in a rural healthcare environment
- Strong communication organizational and teamwork skills
