Senior Google Cloud Data Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Google Cloud Data Engineer to join our Global Data & Analytics team at Fossil Group in Bangalore. If you are passionate about building robust data pipelines and enjoy solving complex data challenges in the cloud this could be the perfect role for this dynamic and global company you will design and scale our Google Cloudbased data solutions to power analytics and decision making across the you will do in this roleDesign develop test deploy maintain and improve data jobs on Google Cloud Platform using Java and PythonBuild and optimize Dataflow and/or Dataproc pipelines to load and transform data from Google Cloud Storage into BigQuery based on business requirementsTranslate blueprinting documents into configuration designs functional specifications and technical solutions on Google CloudCollaborate with global Architects and key stakeholders to define scalable secure and performant data architecturesConduct meetings and workshops with users to collect requirements and translate them into end-to-end technical solutionsPerform unit testing in development environments and System Integration Testing in QA resolving issues identified during testingCreate and maintain clear technical documentation for all developments and support knowledge transfer to third-party service providersWho You AreHold a BS degree in Computer Science or have equivalent practical experienceBring 58 years of experience as a DB/SQL Developer or Java/Python Developer with strong SQL skillsExpert in SQL able to write complex joins and perform data transformations directly in SQLExperienced with relational databases and NoSQL databases ideally in large-scale or complex environmentsHave solid hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform components such as Dataflow Dataproc BigQuery Cloud Functions Composer and/or Data FusionHave developed pipelines in Java and/or Python using Dataflow or Dataproc to update BigQuery tablesPossess good knowledge of Business Intelligence and dashboard creation ideally with experience in Looker Studio (formerly Data Studio) or similar toolsDemonstrate leadership and self-direction with a willingness to teach others while continuously learning new GCP technologiesCommunicate effectively in writing and verbally able to translate business requirements into functional specifications and system configurationsA strong team player who can also work independently with good interpersonal skills and a proactive solution-oriented mindsetWhat We OfferCompetitive compensation and benefits packageSupport for work-life balance including time-off programsHybrid work opportunities where applicableLearning and development supportEmployee product discountsAn inclusive collaborative and values-driven workplace
