Our client is seeking a reliable and proactive School Caretaker to join a friendly and well-established secondary school in Birmingham. This is a full-time permanent position starting as soon as possible.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced or aspiring caretaker to play a vital role in the day-to-day running of a busy school environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the school premises are safe secure clean and well maintained at all times.

You will work closely with the site team and senior leadership to support the smooth operation of the school helping to create a positive environment for both students and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Opening and closing the school site daily

• Carrying out general maintenance repairs and DIY tasks

• Ensuring health and safety standards are met across the premises

• Monitoring site security including alarms and access control

• Assisting with setting up rooms for events and activities

• Liaising with external contractors when required

Experience and Skills

• Previous caretaker site assistant or maintenance experience (preferred)

• Basic knowledge of building maintenance and health & safety

• Practical hands-on approach with good problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Good communication and organisational skills

• Right to work in the UK
