The Role

• Teaching Music across KS3 and KS4 including performance composition and appraising

• Planning and delivering lessons that balance academic musicology with practical skill

• Leading and coaching school ensembles choirs or orchestras

• Supporting pupils with GCSE/A-Level coursework and examination preparation

• Managing music technology suites and encouraging the use of software like Sibelius or Logic

• Contributing to the schools vibrant concert calendar and extracurricular rehearsals

• Participating in the statutory ECT induction and professional development sessions

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Currently working towards or recently completed Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• A strong degree in Music or Music Education

• Exceptional instrumental or vocal skills and a commitment to extracurricular excellence

• The ability to inspire students through a broad range of musical genres and traditions

• Excellent communication skills and a high level of energy and enthusiasm
