Its an international healthcare company headquartered in Southern Europe with a strong and growing presence across key European markets including Spain France Italy the UK and Portugal.
The company specializes in womens health with a portfolio focused on areas such as HPV fertility and menopause. Its products include a combination of medical devices and scientifically supported food supplements positioned through a unique hybrid model that combines consumer healthcare accessibility with clinically driven promotion.
Following sustained success in multiple European markets the company is now entering Germany as a strategic priority market establishing a local affiliate and building a dedicated commercial and medical organization.
Role Overview:
The Commercial Manager Germany will play a pivotal role in building the companys commercial presence from the ground up.
This is not a traditional sales management role. Instead it is a market development and execution role combining strategic thinking with hands-on implementation in a launch environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and executing the go-to-market strategy managing external sales partners and progressively contributing to the development of an internal commercial structure.
Key Responsibilities
Market Development & Strategy
Define and implement the commercial go-to-market strategy for Germany
Identify priority regions customer segments and channels (gynecology pharmacy)
Translate global strategy into actionable local plans
External Sales Force Management (CSO)
Manage external sales partners (Contract Sales Organizations)
Define KPIs targeting and activity plans
Monitor performance and ensure high-quality execution in the field
Provide coaching and strategic direction to external teams
Distribution & Market Access
Develop relationships with key pharmaceutical wholesalers and distribution partners
Ensure product availability and optimal market access
Support listing strategies and commercial agreements
Performance & Analytics
Monitor sales performance KPIs and market dynamics
Provide accurate forecasts and regular reporting
Analyze data to identify opportunities and optimize execution
Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with Medical Affairs to ensure alignment between commercial and scientific strategy
Collaborate with Marketing and HQ functions to adapt positioning to the German market
Market Insights & Feedback
Act as the voice of the German market internally
Provide insights on competition pricing customer needs and barriers to adoption
Support continuous improvement of the overall market strategy
Candidate Profile
Background
Bachelors degree in Business Life Sciences or related field
Relevant experience in healthcare pharma or consumer health
Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial roles
Experience in market launches business development or new market entry is highly preferred
Experience managing indirect teams (e.g. CSOs distributors) is a strong advantage
Exposure to hybrid models (OTC Rx-like promotion) is a plus
