About The Role
At Six Robotics we are building advanced autonomous systems for real-world missions. Achieving this safely and at scale requires more than great engineers it requires a strong operational function that enables us to operate internationally in a legally robust and sustainable way.
This is where you come in.
We are operating in a highly regulated domain where our core technology falls under export control regulations. Every international sale deployment demonstration and collaboration depends on correct classification licensing and compliance processes.
We are looking for a person with DOer mentality who will play a key role in defining how Six Robotics handles export control licensing and regulatory compliance from the ground up.
Your mission is to ensure that Six Robotics can scale internationally in a compliant and predictable way by building the processes structure and operational backbone that allows us to move fast without creating legal or commercial risk.
This includes owning the full lifecycle of export compliance activities while also designing the systems and frameworks that make compliance scalable across the organisation.
You will be part of the Supply Chain function and work closely with engineering product and commercial teams.
What You Will Do
Own and operate day-to-day export control and trade compliance activities
Classify products software and technology against relevant export control regulations
Prepare submit and manage export license applications to DEKSA
Own the full license lifecycle (application approval reporting renewal)
Conduct transaction screening (end-user end-use sanctions)
Assess deemed export risks related to foreign nationals in the organisation
Build and maintain the Internal Compliance Program (ICP) from the ground up
Develop internal policies procedures and compliance frameworks
What we are looking for
We are looking for someone who can take ownership of day-to-day compliance execution while also building structure and systems for the future.
You are comfortable working at the intersection of law technology and operations. You are proactive structured and able to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical processes that the organisation can actually follow.
You are confident enough to pause activity when necessary even under commercial pressure and pragmatic enough to ensure compliance is always operational not just documented.
We believe the right candidate brings:
Experience with export control and/or sanctions
Experience with license applications and interaction with authorities
Strong structuring skills and risk awareness
Ability to operationalize complex regulations into clear usable processes
Clear communication and ability to influence stakeholders across functions
Norwegian and English language proficiency (written and spoken)
Nice-to-haves:
Defence aerospace or deep tech industry background
Familiarity with EU Dual-Use Regulation ITAR/EAR or Wassenaar Arrangement
Experience building Internal Compliance Programmes (ICP) or similar frameworks
Understanding of software autonomy or advanced technology systems
Experience working in fast-scaling or early-stage companies

Our Recruitment Process
Screening interview with one of our recruiters to get to know you better (30 min)
Personality and Ability Test to be solved in your own time
Meet & Greet with someone from the team to learn more about us (60 min).
Case assignment to be solved in your own time followed by an in-depth interview more closely related to the specifics of the role (90 min).
Final interview with our Head of People (45 min)

Security Clearance Requirement
All employees at Six Robotics are required to undergo a security clearance due to our close collaboration with the Norwegian Armed Forces. While prior clearance is not necessary the clearance process will be initiated as part of onboarding.
