Electrical & Instrumentation Technician

Clariant is actively and urgently an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to join our maintenance team at the PPCAT Plant in Louisville KY. We welcome qualified technicians with electrical and instrumentation experience who are ready to contribute immediately by maintaining troubleshooting and repairing production equipment in a manufacturing environment. This role supports critical plant operations and offers opportunities to further develop technical skills across mechanical electrical hydraulic and pneumatic systems while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced setting. The position follows a MondayFriday 6am-2:30pm schedule (schedule subject to change). Clariant offers competitive hourly pay aligned with experience paid time off and a $2000 sign-on bonus after four months. Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance team day-to-day activities when the maintenance lead is unavailable including on-call duties.
• Plan perform and oversee electrical installations maintenance and repairs of systems including wiring panels circuits motors and equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints schematics and technical drawings to execute electrical installations and upgrades.
• Upgrade and modify existing electrical systems to improve performance or meet new requirements including transitioning obsolete drives and devices.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems instrumentation and control devices including Siemens PLC systems.
• Collaborate with the automation and digitalization leader to resolve control and communication errors.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical electrical hydraulic and pneumatic issues on production equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and uptime.
• Comply with all local regulations and Clariant safety environmental and operational policies.
• Actively participate in risk assessments and implement corrective actions to improve plant safety.
• Support technical documentation and adhere to Management of Change (MOC) processes.
• Collaborate with production operators and attend daily performance meetings to support operational goals.
• Complete SAMACO work orders including Process Safety Management (PSM) and Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) required job qualifications certifications and safety training

Requirements

• 6 years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience with electrical and mechanical exposure; chemical or food manufacturing experience preferred
• GED or High School diploma required
• Proficient troubleshooting background on 4-20mAfielddevices.
• Demonstrated leadership experience
• Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) experience along with EXCEL and Microsoft office.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in an industrial environment
• Clear communication skills and a commitment to safety and reliability
