Position Title: Special Education Teacher

Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students with diverse learning needs. The role focuses on creating a structured inclusive and supportive classroom environment that promotes academic social and behavioral growth for students throughout the school year.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop implement and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students
• Provide specialized instruction based on academic behavioral and developmental needs
• Adapt curriculum lesson plans and instructional strategies for diverse learners
• Monitor and document student progress and adjust instruction as needed
• Collaborate with general education teachers therapists and support staff
• Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement and structured interventions
• Conduct student assessments and participate in IEP meetings and reviews
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress
• Support students social emotional and life skills development

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or related field
• Valid Special Education teaching license (state-specific required or eligible)
• Experience working with students with disabilities (preferred)

Preferred Skills

• Experience with autism spectrum disorders learning disabilities or emotional/behavioral needs
• Familiarity with assistive technology and inclusive classroom strategies
