Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students with diverse learning needs. The role focuses on creating a structured inclusive and supportive classroom environment that promotes academic social and behavioral growth for students throughout the school year.
Key Responsibilities
Develop implement and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students
Provide specialized instruction based on academic behavioral and developmental needs
Adapt curriculum lesson plans and instructional strategies for diverse learners
Monitor and document student progress and adjust instruction as needed
Collaborate with general education teachers therapists and support staff
Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement and structured interventions
Conduct student assessments and participate in IEP meetings and reviews
Maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal regulations
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress
Support students social emotional and life skills development
Required Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or related field
Valid Special Education teaching license (state-specific required or eligible)
Experience working with students with disabilities (preferred)
Preferred Skills
Experience with autism spectrum disorders learning disabilities or emotional/behavioral needs
Familiarity with assistive technology and inclusive classroom strategies
Core Competencies
Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
Effective classroom management and behavioral support strategies
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Excellent organization and documentation abilities
Patience empathy and student-focused mindset
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary school environment
