The role

As a Senior Electrical Control and Instrumentation (EC&I) Engineer youll have a role thats out of the ordinary. Youll play a vital leadership role in delivering highintegrity engineering solutions within highly regulated safetycritical nuclear environments. Your expertise will directly support safe plant operations regulatory compliance and longterm infrastructure resilience.

Day-to-day youll be required to:

  • Delivering electrical control and instrumentation engineering solutions across complex nuclear and defence projects
  • Producing highquality EC&I deliverables including control philosophies requirements specifications interlock definitions and software management plans
  • Managing engineers and designers to ensure accurate compliant and timely production of technical outputs
  • Supporting hazard studies design risk assessments and regulatory assurance activities
  • Working closely with project managers safety teams customers and supply chain partners to integrate solutions successfully

This is a fulltime role working 37 hours per week based at any of our main Cavendish locations including Glasgow Leicester Bristol Newbury Warrington. Hybrid working patterns are available with a minimum of working 3 days on site.

Essential experience of the Senior EC&I Engineer:

  • Strong experience delivering EC&I engineering within regulated or safetycritical environments
  • Proven background working with control systems automation or instrumentation solutions
  • Experience supporting nuclear defence energy or comparable highly regulated industries
  • Ability to manage technical deliverables and support multidisciplinary project teams
  • Clear understanding of safety quality and compliance obligations

Qualifications for the Senior EC&I Engineer:

  • Degreequalified in Electrical Engineering Control Engineering Instrumentation Engineering or a related discipline
  • Chartered Engineer status or progress toward professional registration is advantageous

Security Clearance
