The role

As a Senior Electrical Control and Instrumentation (EC&I) Engineer youll have a role thats out of the ordinary. Youll play a vital leadership role in delivering highintegrity engineering solutions within highly regulated safetycritical nuclear environments. Your expertise will directly support safe plant operations regulatory compliance and longterm infrastructure resilience.

Day-to-day youll be required to:

  • Leading the design specification and integration of electrical control and instrumentation systems for nuclear projects
  • Delivering technically robust solutions that meet safety quality and regulatory standards
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across engineering safety commissioning and project management
  • Engaging with regulators clients and supply chain partners to ensure full technical and regulatory alignment
  • Producing and reviewing highquality technical documentation calculations and safety case contributions.

This is a fulltime role working 37 hours per week based at any of our main Cavendish locations including Warrington Bristol Leicester Humberside or Cumbria. Hybrid working patterns are available with a minimum of working 3 days on site.

Essential experience of the Senior EC&I Engineer:

  • Proven experience designing and delivering EC&I systems within regulated or safetycritical environments
  • Strong knowledge of nuclear or comparable industry standards including functional safety requirements
  • Experience working across complex engineering projects from concept through delivery
  • Confidence interfacing with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve technical challenges
  • Track record of producing highquality auditable technical outputs

Qualifications for the Senior EC&I Engineer:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Control Instrumentation or Systems Engineering
  • Professional registration or working toward chartership is advantageous

Security Clearance
