Engineering Technician, Tier 1

Location: Still Waters Resort

Position Summary

The Engineering Technician I supports the daily maintenance operations of the resort by performing entry-level repairs preventive maintenance and guest service tasks. This role is highly guest-facing and requires a positive attitude willingness to learn and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Complete assigned work orders in a timely and professional manner prioritizing guest-related issues
• Perform routine maintenance in guest rooms including:
  • Replacing light bulbs batteries and air filters
  • Fixing minor plumbing issues (clogs slow drains leaking faucets)
  • Adjusting doors locks hinges and basic hardware
• Assist with preventive maintenance programs for:
  • HVAC units (filter changes visual inspections)
  • Appliances (microwaves refrigerators dishwashers)
• Support upkeep of resort amenities including pools hot tubs and common areas:
  • Clean surfaces remove debris and report irregularities
  • Monitor water conditions under supervision
• Respond to guest calls (e.g. AC not cooling TV issues maintenance concerns) with professionalism and urgency
• Transport tools equipment and materials safely throughout the property
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance shop storage rooms and work areas
• Follow all company safety policies including proper use of PPE and lockout/tagout awareness (as trained)
• Escalate complex issues to higher-level technicians

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• 02 years of general maintenance construction or related experience preferred
• Valid drivers license (if required for property vehicles)
• Basic familiarity with tools equipment and safe handling practices

• Willingness to learn multiple trades (HVAC plumbing electrical)

• Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving ability

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand walk bend and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Comfortable using ladders and basic maintenance equipment
