Core Responsibilities
- Imaging Procedures: Perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures (X-ray Fluoroscopy) in accordance with radiation safety protocols.
- Patient Care: Prepare and position patients for imaging explain procedures and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the process.
- Technical Quality: Evaluate images for technical quality (positioning technique and identification) to ensure diagnostic accuracy for the Radiologist.
- Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain highly specialized imaging equipment; report malfunctions and perform routine quality control checks.
- Collaboration: Work closely with physicians nurses and the emergency department to prioritize urgent diagnostic needs.
Key Requirements
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Certification: Must be ARRT(R) certified or registry-eligible (certification required within a specific timeframe of hire).
- Licensure: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Skills: Proficiency with Digital Radiography (DR) and PACS systems.
