Job Summary

JOB TITLE: CNC Aircraft Machinist
LOCATION: North Charleston SC
PAY RATE: $46/hour

Qualifying Questions:

Are you a U.S. person as defined under ITAR regulations
Do you meet the educational and experience requirements for this role
Can you commute to the job location or relocate if necessary

Summary:

Read and interpret moderately complex blueprint drawings and specifications to set up and machine components
Fabricate out-of-sequence emergent production parts using manual and CNC machines
Develop and revise Machine Control Data (MCD) and geometry
Assist other machinists in completing job responsibilities
Follow detailed verbal and/or written instructions

Requirements:

3 years of aerospace fabrication or manufacturing experience
1 year of experience reading and interpreting machine code data (MCD)
1 year of experience setting up and operating manual and/or CNC machines
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with large-scale commercial aircraft programs
Experience working in a team environment
3 years of experience using manual mill and lathe machines
3 years of experience setting up fixtures operating and programming CNC machines (3-axis and 5-axis)
3 years of experience setting up NC/CNC machines including probing and using dial indicators to establish set points
