Job Title: CNC Programmer (Lathe Focus)

Shift: 2nd Shift / Flexible Based on Experience

Position Overview We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer with a strong background in CNC lathe programming to support a high-volume aerospace manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for developing editing and optimizing CNC programs to drive efficiency precision and repeatability on the shop floor.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on programmer with deep lathe experience who can contribute with minimal training in a fast-paced production setting.
Key Responsibilities -
Develop write and optimize CNC programs for lathe machines

Edit and improve existing programs to enhance efficiency and cycle times

Support setup prove-out and first article runs on the shop floor

Collaborate closely with machinists and engineering teams

Interpret blueprints GD&T and technical drawings
-
Troubleshoot machining and programming issues in real time

Ensure all programs meet tight tolerance and quality standards
Required Qualifications -
5 years of CNC programming experience (lathe-focused)

Strong background in CNC lathe machining and setup

Ability to write and edit G-code programs independently
-
Experience supporting production environments and prove-outs
-
Proficiency reading blueprints and GD&T
Preferred Qualifications -
Experience with Okuma CNC controls (highly preferred)

Experience with CAM software such as Esprit Mastercam or Fusion 360
-
Background in aerospace or high-precision manufacturing
-
Experience with multi-axis lathe environments (X Y Z)
