Pay Range: $35.00 - $47.00 hour (based on experience)
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer with a strong background in CNC lathe programming to support a high-volume aerospace manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for developing editing and optimizing CNC programs to drive efficiency precision and repeatability on the shop floor.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on programmer with deep lathe experience who can contribute with minimal training in a fast-paced production setting.
Key Responsibilities
Develop write and optimize CNC programs for lathe machines
Edit and improve existing programs to enhance efficiency and cycle times
Support setup prove-out and first article runs on the shop floor
Collaborate closely with machinists and engineering teams
Interpret blueprints GD&T and technical drawings
Troubleshoot machining and programming issues in real time
Ensure all programs meet tight tolerance and quality standards
Required Qualifications
5 years of CNC programming experience (lathe-focused)
Strong background in CNC lathe machining and setup
Ability to write and edit G-code programs independently
Experience supporting production environments and prove-outs
Proficiency reading blueprints and GD&T
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Okuma CNC controls (highly preferred)
Experience with CAM software such as Esprit Mastercam or Fusion 360
Background in aerospace or high-precision manufacturing
Experience with multi-axis lathe environments (X Y Z)
Candidates who can hit the ground running with minimal ramp-up
Hands-on programmers comfortable working on the shop floor not just offline
Individuals who understand both programming and machining processes
