Receiving Inspector

Job Title: Receiving Inspector
Location: Gardena CA

Shift: 2nd Shift 2:45pm - 11:15pm

The Receiving Inspector is responsible for inspecting incoming materials components and supplies to ensure they meet engineering specifications quality standards and regulatory requirements before being released to production.

This role plays a key part in maintaining supplier quality and production readiness in a fast-paced precision manufacturing environment.

• Perform inspection of incoming materials and components against drawings specifications and purchase orders

• Verify dimensions tolerances and certifications for compliance

• Utilize precision measuring tools such as calipers micrometers and gauges

• Review certifications test reports and material documentation

• Identify and document non-conforming materials

• Initiate and support non-conformance reports (NCRs)

• Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and industry requirements

• Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation

• Work closely with purchasing quality and engineering teams to resolve discrepancies

• Support communication with suppliers regarding quality issues and corrective actions

• Help ensure only approved conforming materials are released to production

• Assist in improving incoming inspection processes and standard work

• Maintain organized inspection areas and ensure proper handling of materials

• Support audits and quality system requirements as needed

• 2 5 years of experience in quality inspection in a manufacturing environment

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

• Experience using precision measuring instruments

• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy

• Basic computer skills for inspection records and reporting

• Experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing environments

• Familiarity with material certifications and traceability requirements

• Experience with ERP systems (JDEdwards or similar)

• Knowledge of inspection standards and quality systems

• A detail-oriented inspector who understands incoming material quality

• Someone who can identify issues before they impact production
