Job Summary
Requirements
- 8 or more years of experience in Linux and UNIX systems programming within enterprise environments.
- Proficiency in HIPAA compliance and operating within highly regulated healthcare data environments.
- Experience with scripting and infrastructure automation to manage complex system subsystems.
- Experience in mixed Linux and Windows environments utilizing VMWare or cloud-based platforms.
- Experience with RedHat-based distributions and configuration management tools like SaltStack or Ansible.
- Experience in enterprise logging and monitoring technologies such as Splunk or Elasticsearch.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Engineer and maintain systems software for mission-critical research and business platforms.
- Optimize operating system performance and conduct proactive capacity planning for high-availability tiers.
- Develop automated workflows and scripts to streamline infrastructure management and deployments.
- Act as the primary technical subject matter expert for cross-functional infrastructure projects.
- Implement software-defined networking solutions to enhance enterprise connectivity and security.
- Utilize Git and logging technologies to ensure system stability and audit-ready traceability.
- Provide technical mentorship and advanced troubleshooting assistance to junior systems personnel.
