Purpose of Position

The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of duties in providing the students and staff a professional library and media center including assuming a lead role in the schools Accelerated Reading program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

Experience working with children in an educational setting.
Strong knowledge of childrens literature and reading programs.
Ability to create engaging library programs and activities.
Proficient in using library management software and technology.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with staff and students.
