The Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing safe high-quality infusion therapy to patients. This role includes administering IV medications biologics blood products and hydration therapy while monitoring patient responses educating patients and families and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Administer intravenous (IV) therapies including medications biologics chemotherapy blood products and hydration per physician orders and established protocols Assess patients prior to infusion including reviewing medical history allergies lab results and vital signs Monitor patients during and after infusions for adverse reactions and intervene appropriately Initiate maintain and discontinue peripheral IVs PICC lines ports and other vascular access devices Provide patient and family education regarding infusion therapies potential side effects and post-infusion care Accurately document assessments treatments patient responses and education in the electronic health record MUST have current Montana RN licensure MUST have current OCN and ONS Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Provider Card Minimum BLS but ACLS preferred
