Job Title: SDET Software Development Engineer in Test
Duration (Contract): 12 Months
Client Location: Phoenix AZ
Location Preference: Onsite
Job Description:
As a Software Development Engineer in Test you will design and implement scalable maintainable test automation solutions to ensure high quality across a consolidated platform of web applications. You will work closely with developers and Agile teams to embed quality throughout the SDLC support DevOps driven CI/CD pipelines and promote a strong culture of test automation and continuous testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design build and maintain automated tests for web applications APIs and middleware.
- Implement automation strategies that integrate with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
- Act as the SDET for one or more Agile scrum teams collaborating with developers product owners and scrum masters.
- Assist with test data creation management and automation refresh strategies.
- Maintain and enhance test automation frameworks and code repositories.
- Support CI/CD automation and release quality activities.
- Promote and enable BDD practices using Gherkin and related frameworks.
- Track test results defects and quality metrics using test management tools.
Required Skills Experiences Education and Competencies:
- Bachelors degree with 5 years of professional experience or equivalent advanced degree and experience.
- Strong experience in test automation within Agile and DevOps environments.
- Proficiency in object oriented programming preferably Java.
- Experience automating UI and API tests using modern frameworks.
- Hands on experience with CI/CD tools and automated testing pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of version control and test management platforms.
- Experience with Agile practices and continuous testing methodologies.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $40.00 to $70.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills experience location and industry.
