About the Project:

Join Thales largest project to date: the F126 frigate program for the German Navy. Were developing and integrating all onboard subsystems enabling next-generation warfighting capabilities to counter evolving above-water threats. Our software connects Thales advanced radar suite with firing systems using intelligent algorithms to empower defense operators with split-second decision-making.

About the Job:

As a DevOps Platform Engineer you will develop in a multidisciplinary Agile team that maintains develops and tests the infrastructure software platforms for combat management systems. These development teams are responsible for the entire development chain - from requirements analysis development maintenance patching integration deployment testing validation to demonstrating the current status of the product. Your role will be diverse and flexibility is key.

Relevant Experiences:

Linux: Over 3 years of experience with Red Hat certification

Infrastructure as Code: Experience with Ansible certification or demonstratable knowledge is a plus

C: (min. version 17) knowledge knowledge of Qt 5 is a pre

Video processing with ffmpeg

OpenGL / CUDA

Tools and Technologies: Experience with the following:

- Programming languages: bash python.

- Software containers & Kubernetes.

- Build pipelines and support tooling (e.g. Git Jenkins Maven Jira)

Scaled scrum: experience is a plus.

You also hold a bachelor or master degree in computer science IT service management or comparable.

We expect you possess fluent English communication skills both written and verbal.
