About the role
As a Commercial Advisor you will manage and deliver projects to a high standard often acting as a primary client contact with support from senior colleagues. The role involves providing commercial market and sector-specific expertise while contributing to the development of a specialist practice area.
You will work collaboratively across teams supporting project delivery and resource coordination and contribute to business growth through client engagement and development activities. A particular focus of the role is advising on energy and infrastructure projects including renewable energy.
Key responsibilities
- Managing multiple client engagements or project components independently
- Building and maintaining client relationships identifying needs and developing proposals
- Overseeing the commercial performance of projects to ensure quality and profitability
- Delivering high-quality outputs in line with internal standards
- Providing technical guidance to junior team members
- Developing sector expertise and contributing to knowledge sharing
- Supporting innovation and the development of repeatable solutions
- Managing project scope timelines and client communication
- Identifying and communicating risks and issues early
- Participating in project reviews and continuous improvement activities
- Maintaining professional development where relevant
- Contributing to performance review processes and feedback cycles
- Supporting accurate time recording and project tracking

Ideal experience
- Experience in commercial consulting or a similar role within industry or investment environments
- Involvement in large-scale infrastructure or energy projects ideally within low-carbon sectors
- Experience in project management business case development reporting and due diligence
- Strong client-facing experience including proposal development and advisory delivery
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant field (e.g. business economics law finance engineering or sciences)
- Postgraduate qualification desirable but not essential
- Relevant professional qualifications or memberships are advantageous
