0-19 Practitioner (Level 2) 12 Month Fixed Term
Job Summary
This is a fixed term post for 12 months to cover maternity leave.
The Early Help Service brings together practitioners from a Youth Work Childrens Centre Family Support and Social Work and EH Assessment background; with the aim of offering a more integrated early help offer to families within Child and Family Hubs based in local communities. Our service is delivered in conjunction with a wide range of partners. We take a systemic whole family and multi-agency approach to help build resilience and aim to offer the right help first time putting children first. The Child and Family Early Help Service aims to provide timely and effective early intervention that prevents problems from escalating and enables children to flourish.
You will hold GCE NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a related field to children and young people.
The post holder/s will be responsible for the delivery of group work programmes as well delivering evidence based 1-1 interventions. The role requires the ability to engage well with both children and their parent/carers. They will act as the lead professional undertaking Early Help Assessments and coordinating-agency working. They will ensure seamless transfers of support across Childrens Social Care and Early Help Services with the aim of providing flexible practical and evidenced-based support to children and their families.
We expect our Team to use a range of evidenced-based approaches to build resilience and promote improved outcomes and life opportunities. You will need to have a robust understanding of safeguarding and be able to prioritise tasks keep accurate case records and have excellent assessment writing skills.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable skills including an understanding or experience of working with vulnerable adolescents and able to apply this with children and young people across the Early Help age range and their families.
