We are looking for a Customer Service/Yard Person. This is a full-time seasonal position in a busy and upbeat workplace in Sydney NS. We are looking for a candidate that will be personable math oriented and a good problem solver. The season typically runs from March to November.

Responsibilities

Assisting in shipping and receiving order picking and scheduling as needed.

Identifying customers needs suggesting the right solutions/products and ensuring each customer is taken care of.

Any other tasks deemed appropriate to the position.

Safety in the yard including safe conduct by all customers and staff.

Loading and unloading of trucks by hand.

Maintaining the yard in a neat and organized fashion including cutting grass organizing product picking up plastic etc.

Qualifications

Great communication skills in person and on the telephone.

Ability to handle heavy merchandise and work outside in all weather conditions (up to 50 lbs)

Someone with drive and ambition.

Available to work occasional Saturdays during the summer season.

Open to helping and working with your team members in the Warehouse and other Shaw Brick locations as required.

Knowledge of Microsoft office and excel.

Experience in a retail background or a Warehouse Customer Service background.

Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.

Bilingualism will be considered an asset

Hours of work are 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM with opportunities for overtime.
