Your future role

Reporting to the Engineering Manager Rail Systems we are currently recruiting for a Network and Telecom Manager. The Network and Telecom Manager will work on the Suburban Rail Loop Alliance Project. The successful candidate will lead all the Netweok and Telecom activies for the Suburban Rail Loop Project. Well look to you for;

• Management of local Network and Telcom team.
• Management of offshore design team in Bangalore.
• Management of N&T suppliers.
• Interfacing with Alliance partners and client through the specification design installation testing and commissioning of the N&T systems.
• Working with external stakeholders on the N&T interfaces including; Fire Rescue Victoria Victoria Police and MNOs (Optus / Telstra etc).

To be successful in this role you will ideally have;

• An extensive background in delivering Network and Telecom solutions including both wireless and fixed networks.
• Experience of delivering 5G wireless networks for railway applications such as Signalling.
• Experience of extending MNO networks.
• Experience of delivering WiFi networks in a railway environment.
• Experience of delivering Fixed Telecom networks.
• The demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams but also work autonomously.
• Strong interpersonal skills effective communication skills and work well with deadlines.
• A relevenant Tertiary Qualification in Engineering / Maths / Science.
