Our team of four lawyers supported by knowledge professionals advises both Belgian and international clients including leading banks investment firms asset managers insurers payment institutions crypto exchanges and innovative fintech players. Our FinReg team is currently looking for a Dutch-speaking junior lawyer!

Your role

As a member of our FinReg team you will work closely with colleagues to deliver strategic legal advice and guidance to clients active in the financial services sector. Your work will cover a broad range of areas including banking and funds regulation payment services crypto ESG and other relevant financial regulations.

In this role you will also:

• Monitor and analyse evolving legislation industry trends and disruptive technologies together with your team.
• Contribute your legal expertise to support clients in their sustainability ambitions and promote responsible growth within the financial services industry.
• Engage with innovative tools that help clients navigate complex regulatory frameworks.
• Interact with financial regulatory authorities and assist in regulatory investigations and proceedings.
• Build strong client relationships through direct client contact from day one.

What we expect

• You have a native level of Dutch an excellent command of English and passive knowledge of French.
• You are either ready to start your career as a lawyer or have up to one year of relevant experience in Financial Services Regulatory and hold a Belgian Master of Laws degree with strong academic results.
• You deliver high-quality work with great attention to detail and precision. You are proactive take initiative and approach tasks with energy.
• You can prioritise tasks effectively and communicate clearly promptly and in a structured manner.
• You are a team player client-focused and solution-oriented with a strong desire to further develop your expertise in the FinReg field.

• Location: Brussels with the option to also work from our Antwerp office.
