Receptionist

We are currently inviting applicants for a fulltime role as Receptionist to join our front of house team.

As a member of this team you will be assisting in the day-to-day running of the departmentwhich includestaking bookings checking guests in and out of the hotel allocates rooms and keys answers the phone and is the main point of contact of the guests.

Knowledge and experience in the following areas is essential:

• 1-2 years previous hotel 4*/5* front office experience.
• Fluent English both oral and written.
• Experience with Hotsoft and Table path is preferred but not essential.
• Shares our passion for delivering the highest standard of customer service.
• Have excellent communication procedures and administration skills.

Personal Qualities

• Ability to show a positive attitude towards guests and colleagues at all times.
• Be self-motivated being able to work alone with good personal organization.
• Excellent communication skills
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

Duties include but are not exclusive to:

• To welcome guests on arrival and at all times in warm and friendly manner using guest name where possible.
• To check in/out guests effectively using computerised system.
• To ensure that any additional requirements for guests are offered i.e. dinner reservation porter etc.
• Dealing with any guest requests/queries in a polite and attentive manner and reporting any problems to the Front of House Manager
• To correctly take messages for guests/staff ensuring that date time message from/to and initials are noted.
• To ensure that all charges are posted correctly onto room bills.
• Maximising all sales opportunities at the desk.
