Job Title: Cognite Data Fusion Engineer / Consultant

Industry: Oil & Gas / Energy / Manufacturing / Industrial Digital Transformation

Key Responsibilities:

Design implement and optimize data pipelines in Cognite Data Fusion (CDF) using Python SDK or CDF APIs

Build and maintain data models (Asset Hierarchies Time Series Events Files Relationships) in CDF

Ingest and contextualize data from OT systems (e.g. PI System SCADA/DCS) IT systems (SAP PM IBM Maximo) and engineering data

Develop and orchestrate transformations using CDF Transformations (SQL / PySpark)

Collaborate with SMEs and data scientists to develop use cases such as predictive maintenance asset performance monitoring and digital twins

Implement access control data lineage and quality checks aligned with governance requirements

Create dashboards apps or integrations using CDFs APIs Power BI Grafana or other front-end tools

Work with Cognites capabilities such as Cognite Functions Data Sets CDF Charts and Industrial Canvas

Must Have:

6 years of experience in data engineering or industrial data platforms

Proven experience working with Cognite Data Fusion SDK APIs or Fusion Workbench

Strong skills in Python SQL and cloud data tools (Azure preferred)

Understanding of industrial asset structures time series data maintenance logs and equipment metadata

Experience with data integration tools and protocols (OPC UA Modbus REST MQTT PI AF)

Familiarity with industry verticals like Oil & Gas Chemicals Power Generation or Manufacturing

Excellent problem-solving communication and client engagement skills

Experience with data visualization tools: Power BI Grafana Plotly etc.

Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure AWS GCP) and infrastructure as code (Terraform ARM)

Prior experience with Cognites packaged solutions or apps (Asset Data Insight Reliability Integrity etc.)

Cognite Certifications (CDF Foundation / Developer / Architect) a strong plus
