Description
Location: 330 Bayview Drive Barrie Ontario.
Scheduled Shift: Monday - Friday (37.5 hours weekly). This position will manage the AM sort with a schedule of 01:30am - 09:30am.
Contract Type: Temporary (Please note: this a 12 month contract covering a parental leave).
Responsibilities
Manage and supervise sort operations
Manage a group of unionized employees
Create a positive work environment building employee loyalty and a team atmosphere
Responsible for achieving objectives as outlined in the operational scorecard
Responsible for managing performance of employees as per operational standards and indices
Improve operational standards through reviews of employee performance coaching counseling and recognition
Responsible for communicating and implementing policy procedure or programs
Responsible for completing a variety of reports and documents
All other related and assigned duties
Experience
- Previous management experience in a unionized environment preferred.

Education
Language Requirement:Proficiency in English is required for this position due to the frequent communications that must be conducted in English with various stakeholders. This requirement is justified by the nature of the responsibilities and operational needs.
