Job Summary
Involves a combination of supervised progressively more complex and independent patient evaluation and management functions and formal educational activities. The competence of the resident physician is evaluated on a regular basis. The residency program maintains a confidential record of the evaluation. The position of Resident entails provision of care commensurate with the Residents level of advancement and competence under general supervision of appropriately privileged attending teaching staff. Must meet the qualifications for resident eligibility outlined in the Essentials of Accredited Residencies in Graduate Medical Education in the AMA Graduate Medical Education Directory and Graduate Medical Education policy.Essential Functions

The positions of Emergency Medicine EMS Fellow PGY 4 involves both didactic and hands on training and instruction of medical students residents fellows and attending staff in the complexities of Emergency Medical Services and Pre-Hospital medicine.
Applies basic principles of leadership and administration.
Develops an understanding of continuous quality improvement (CQI) and risk management programs and their application to the operation of Emergency Medical Services.
Develops public speaking skills.
Develops skill in creations of educational content for residency staff and prehospital providers.
Demonstrates knowledge and skill in the clinical aspects of EMS Medicine.
Demonstrates skill in medical oversight of EMS.
Demonstrates and develops skill in quality management and research.
Develops skill and competence in EMS Special Operations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory/Management Responsibilities
This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor manager director or executive.

Education - Medical School and Residency completion
