This position will set up and maintain proper Machine Operation while maintaining the best quality possible for wholesale/retail packaging. The schedule will flex based on Production needs on 1st 2nd & 3rd Shifts.
WHAT YOULL BE DOING
Primary responsibilities of a Machine Operator are to:
- Set up and perform safe start-ups at the beginning of each shift. Think safety.
- Conduct prompt start-ups timely shutdowns and precise changeovers from one product to another.
- Recording accurate production output and downtime.
- Record and maintain Quality Control throughout the machine process.
- Maintain proper sanitation of the equipment and production environment according to plant GMPs.
- Complete all SQF related documentation.
- Will operate the cook room overall including the Blending and Packaging processes.
- Frequent Forklift operation including stand-up and sit down lifts.
- Follow all Food Safety procedures and policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel possibly including but not limited to preventive maintenance and cleaning.
- Occasional plant Sanitation duties.
WHAT WE NEED
- Strong attendance and good safety/sanitation history.
- Self-motivated and responsible.
- Experience as a Machine Operator.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers.
- Willing to work any shift if required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Possess some mechanical ability; previous machine operator experience required.
- Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
