Job Description

The Ambulatory Infusion Pharmacist will report to the ambulatory infusion manager and will provide distributive and clinical pharmacy services primarily to outpatients of the Medical University clinics. This position will address the needs of nursing personnel regarding drug disposition and usage; counsel patients and health care professionals as needed by providing general and specific drug information; ensures timely and medically appropriate dispensing of medication to patients for assigned areas; be trained check and also prepare hazardous and non-hazardous sterile products in accordance to USP 797 standards. The ideal candidate will be a motivated team-player with excellent time management and communication skills.

Required to have valid SC pharmacist license upon hire or in place within 90 days of hire

Additional Job Description

Minimum Training and Education: Doctor of Pharmacy or a Bachelors degree in pharmacy. Completion of a pharmacy residency Licensure Certifications Registrations: Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist by the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required
