As a Security Officer Patrol Unit in Austin TX you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech and media location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related concerns and support access activities and site protocols. Job Schedule:

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees visitors and/or vendors by following site-specific procedures access protocols and emergency response guidelines at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings common areas parking areas and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity policy violations and/or potential hazards.
• Monitor entry points badge activity and visitor movement to help support security-related policies protect confidential work areas and report concerns to site leadership.
• Assist with incident reporting preliminary investigations and follow-up on security-related matters maintaining detailed records and sharing relevant information with Allied Universal leadership and/or client representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Candidates must have 3 years of combined law enforcement corrections and/or military experience or 5 years of armed security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
