Hours: Day Shift 40 Hours Per Week
Shift: Mon-Fri-6:00am-2:30pm
Location: St. Petersburg FL
Position Summary:
- The laboratory histotechnologist performs analytical procedures independently and participates in technical activities of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.
- Provides slides for the cases to the Pathologist for review ensuring quality by following section and department policies and procedures.
- Provides recommendations to leadership about opportunities for improvement.
- Employees that are successful in the role possess high attention to detail and can be relied upon for dependable and consistent work output.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- Associates Degree as required for Florida State License
Experience:
- 3 years experience in a histology laboratory
- Clinical Laboratory Histotechnologist License from the State of Florida (OR)
- Clinical Laboratory Histotechnician License from the State of Florida with 5 years of relevant experience
- Good interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written and the ability to meet deadlines
- Manual dexterity and visual acuity necessary to prepare specimens and perform clinical and microscopic analyses
- Knowledge and proficient with computers automated instruments and mechanical apparatus

Salary Range: Minimum 30.64/hour - Maximum 49.02/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
