Facilities Supervisor
Mercia Park ( DE12)
Mon-Fri 8:30-16:30

The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the safe compliant and efficient operation of warehouse and office facilities within a fast-paced logistics environment. This role oversees maintenance activities manages contractors and leads on-site teams to support business continuity and operational excellence.

What will you be doing

Facilities & Building Maintenance
Lead day-to-day maintenance operations across warehouse and office facilities.
Ensure building fabric (floors walls roofing docks doors etc.) is maintained to a high standard.
Manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works via the Planon system.

Equipment & Infrastructure
Oversee maintenance of critical infrastructure including dock levellers roller doors HVAC lighting plumbing and electrical systems.
Coordinate specialist contractors for servicing and statutory inspections.
Minimise operational disruption during maintenance activity.

Health Safety & Compliance
Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation and internal standards.
Maintain statutory inspection records (e.g. fire alarms emergency lighting lifts).
Conduct regular site inspections and manage permit-to-work processes.
Oversee waste management suppliers and contractor inductions.

Contractor Budget & Team Management
Manage external contractors and suppliers through Planon ensuring value for money and service quality.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and approve invoices.
Supervise on-site maintenance staff reception and cleaning teams providing guidance and workload planning.

Documentation & Audit

Maintain accurate audit-ready maintenance records.
Support internal and external audits as required.

About You

Previous experience in facilities or maintenance supervision
Proven contractor management experience
Strong technical knowledge of facilities and building maintenance
Sound understanding of Health & Safety regulations
Health & Safety qualification (IOSH / NEBOSH desirable)
Experience within a warehouse or logistics environment (preferred)
Organised solutions-focused and able to manage multiple priorities
Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
Proactive and hands-on leadership style
Detail-oriented with strong commercial awareness
Calm resilient and effective under pressure
