Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled and adaptable Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Float Pool team. This role requires a strong clinical foundation critical thinking and the ability to provide high-quality patient care across multiple units.
The RN will assess plan implement and evaluate patient care using evidence-based practices while collaborating with patients families and interdisciplinary teams. Care delivery is aligned with patient- and family-centered care models ensuring culturally competent and age-appropriate treatment.
The RN is expected to adhere to professional nursing standards including the American Nurses Association (ANA) Code of Ethics and applicable state scope of practice regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Assessment
Perform comprehensive assessments of patients physical psychosocial and educational needs
Recognize and report changes in patient condition to appropriate team members
Utilize effective communication and handoff tools (e.g. SBAR)
Identify safety risks and implement preventative measures
Planning & Diagnosis
Develop and prioritize individualized care plans based on patient needs
Collaborate with patients families and interdisciplinary teams
Establish measurable goals and update plans of care as needed
Initiate discharge planning and coordinate appropriate referrals
Implementation
Deliver evidence-based nursing care in accordance with hospital policies
Execute and delegate nursing interventions appropriately
Provide patient and family education tailored to individual needs
Respond effectively to emergency situations
Maintain infection control and ensure a safe patient environment
Evaluation
Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes against established goals
Adjust care plans based on patient response and clinical standards
Ensure documentation aligns with evidence-based practices and regulatory requirements
Required Skills & Experience
Strong clinical knowledge with the ability to provide age-specific and culturally competent care
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Ability to adapt quickly in a float pool environment
Commitment to patient confidentiality and professional growth
Education & Certifications
Required: Diploma in Nursing
Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Licensure: Active Ohio RN License or Compact License
Certification: BLS (American Heart Association)
