As a Ports America Summer Finance Intern you will have the opportunity to put your collegiate experiences and knowledge into action by working on high-impact projects within our Finance Department.
Throughout your time you will be exposed to the various financial functions that support a dynamic maritime company. You will gain hands-on experience in financial reporting analysis and budgeting while adding value to a critical part of our business. You will work closely with accounting financial planning & analysis (FP&A) and operational teams as well as external partners to help support the financial needs of a major terminal operation.

Essential Duties:
- Assist with financial reporting budgeting and forecasting processes
- Support month-end and year-end close activities
- Analyze financial data and prepare reports to support business decisions
- Help track and manage operating expenses and capital projects
- Participate in financial modeling and variance analysis
- Assist with process documentation and improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand operational financial impacts
- Support audits and compliance documentation as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
- Enrollment at a college/university/trade school through Summer 2026 and/or into the Fall 2026 semester
- Pursuing a degree in Finance Accounting Business Economics or related field
- Valid US Drivers License
- Ability to obtain / maintain TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Card)
Preferred Qualifications:
- GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Enthusiasm and eagerness to learn
- Strong computer skills (MS Excel Word PowerPoint Outlook)
- Familiarity with financial systems or data analysis tools is a plus
Internship Details
- The start date will be Monday June 1st 2026
- The internship will last approximately 10 weeks ending on Friday August 14th 2026
- This is a full-time internship (up to 40 hours a week Mon- Friday)
- The format is expected to be in-person at Port or office location
Selection Process

- Different internships will have different timelines for interviews

- The hourly rate range is $25.00
