The Opportunity

Firefly Engineering is building the next generation of AI-native creative experiences across Adobe. We operate like a fast-moving startup inside Adoberapid iterations bold bets and obsessively high product quality. Our charter is to bring modern generative AI and advanced language model capabilities directly into the hands of millions of creators.

We are looking for a Software Engineer who can build reliable and highly available back end services. Youll work across backend and AI orchestration layersconnecting Firefly and 3rd Party models to empower Adobes flagship products create seamless high-impact customer workflows.

What youll Do

• Build scalable and reliable cloud services with observability logging and tracing to enable quick detection understanding and resolution of run-time issues
• Find opportunities for system improvements and successfully implement updates.
• Responsible for design and architecture of new services and features
• Work with all the partners - client teams and Product managers be responsible for all phases of engineering. From early specs design/architecture technology choice development unit-testing/integration automation and deployment.
• Be well versed in emerging industry technologies and trends and have the ability to communicate that knowledge to the team and use it to influence product direction.
• Orchestrate with team to develop a product or parts of a large product.

What you need to succeed

• B. Tech and/or M. Tech in Computer Science with an excellent academic record or equivalent experience
• 10 years of hands-on experience in designing and building backend systems.
• Demonstrated expertise in software development with strong proficiency in Python.
• Experience working with cloud platforms and building scalable microservices architectures.
• Solid understanding of server-side technologies and familiarity with tools and frameworks such as REST APIs Redis Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to AI/ML integration model deployment or workflow orchestration is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills capable of growing when working in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated individual with a passion for learning new technologies and adapting quickly to evolving requirements.
