Senior Data Engineer (Snowflake and DBT)

About the Role
As a Senior Data Engineer you will play a key role in designing building and optimising our data platform. Youll work with large complex data sets and be responsible for developing robust data pipelines and scalable data warehouse solutions. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys both architecture and implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable data pipelines to support analytics and reporting
• Develop and maintain data warehouse solutions primarily using Snowflake
• Implement data transformation workflows using dbt
• Work with large and complex data sets ensuring data quality and integrity
• Collaborate with analysts data scientists and stakeholders to understand data requirements
• Optimise performance and cost efficiency of data processes
• Contribute to best practices in data engineering and platform architecture

About You

• 8 proven years of experience as a Senior Data Engineer or similar role
• Strong expertise in data engineering and data warehousing concepts
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake and dbt
• Experience working with large-scale data sets
• Proficiency in SQL and modern data pipeline tools
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team

Youll be at an advantage if you also have

• Experience working in the banking and retail space
• Experience working on two or more cloud (e.g. AWS Azure)
