Job Summary
The Middle School Co-Teacher (Special Education) collaborates with general education teachers to provide inclusive high-quality instruction for students with disabilities. This role focuses on ensuring access to grade-level curriculum implementing individualized supports and promoting academic and social-emotional growth within the general education setting.
Qualifications :
- Collaborate with general education teachers to plan and deliver standards-based instruction using co-teaching models
- Differentiate instruction and provide targeted small-group or individual support to meet diverse student needs
- Implement IEPs including accommodations modifications and progress monitoring
- Support behavior plans and promote positive academic and social-emotional growth
- Communicate and collaborate with teachers parents and support staff
- Participate in IEP meetings PLCs and professional development
