Job Summary
Reporting to the Senior Manager for Data Governance the Statistician will be responsible for working on projects to evaluate methods procedures and data obtained from various sources to improve customer service and department operations. The Statistician will initially focus on assisting the Senior Manager for Data Governance with ensuring usability consistency and integrity of data as well as assisting on development of dashboards standalone reports and compiling data sets and analysis to identify areas for system improvements. The Statistician will exercise latitude in their responsibilities which include but are not limited to the following:
-Participate in the evaluation of methods procedures and data obtained from various sources to ensure completeness accuracy and integrity of data.
-Preform data analysis to provide reporting from various sources to allow for the delivery of updates on key indicators.
-Participate in the refinement of existing reporting metrics and the development of new metrics.
-Assist with the development implementation and monitoring of special projects including but not limited to trend analysis of performance metrics and identification of areas for business improvement.
-Participate in user acceptance testing for new dashboards standalone reports and special projects to ensure constancy with requirements.
-Handle other projects as assigned.

Qualifications :
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university including or supplemented by 24 semester credits in one or more of the course areas of statistics mathematics computer science/information technology operations research and econometrics; 12 semester credits of which must be in statistics and/or econometrics; and one of the following:
(A) one year of satisfactory full-time experience in one or more of the fields of statistical or mathematical analysis information technology operations research and/or econometrics; or
(B) a masters degree from an accredited college or university in statistics mathematics computer science/information technology operations research econometrics or a closely related field.
Special Note
To be eligible for placement in Assignment Level II individuals must have in addition to meeting the minimum requirements at least one additional year of full-time professional statistical analysis experience.
Special Note
To be eligible for placement in Assignment Level III individuals must have in addition to meeting the minimum requirements at least two additional years of full-time professional statistical analysis experience.
