Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide services in a school-based setting. This float position supports students across classrooms and/or school sites focusing on improving motor sensory and functional skills to enhance academic performance and independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services based on Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
- Support development of fine motor skills sensory integration and daily living skills
- Conduct student assessments and maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate with teachers special education staff and parents
- Adapt classroom environments and materials to meet individual student needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Float between classrooms and assigned school locations as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license (state-specific)
- Strong understanding of IEPs and special education services
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt to a flexible float-based assignment
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a school-based setting
