Quality Assurance Manager
Job Summary
Position Purpose:
The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for ensuring that Alarons services meet the established standards of quality including reliability usability and performance. The established standards may include: ISO ANSI ASTM NACE SSPC NRC 10 CFR 50 Appendix B and other standards.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
- Contributes information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews.
- Prepares and completes action plans.
- Implements quality and customer standards.
- Achieve operational objectives by determining system improvements and implementing change.
- Develop quality assurance plans by monitoring procedures and corrective actions verifying procedures and monitoring inventories.
- Validate quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes documenting evidence writing and updating quality assurance procedures.
- Maintain and improve quality by completing audits and surveillances investigating customer complaints and conducting quality related training for co-workers.
- Prepare quality documentation and reports by collecting analyzing and summarizing information and trends.
- Participate in educational opportunities and participating in professional organizations.
- Accepts ownership for accomplishing new and different requests .
- Maintain Alarons Approved Vendor List.
- Reviewing customer requirements and ensuring they are met.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Education/Experience/Background:
- High School Diploma/GED is required.
- Bachelors degree in similar field or equivalent.
- Quality inspection auditing and testing experience.
- Experience with the implementation of corrective action programs.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Strong computer skills to include MS Office and other databases.
- Knowledge of tools concepts and methodologies of Quality Assurance.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of nuclear related quality assurance requirements.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem analysis and problem solving skills.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Critical thinking in judgment and decision making.
Required Certification/Licenses/Training:
- Lead Auditor already obtained or will be within 2 years of attaining position.
- 40 hour Radiation Worker Certification.
