The opportunity

Werelooking for a Senior Actuarial Analyst to join our International MarketsReservingActuarial team on a fulltime permanent basis.

This role supports the delivery of a range of actuarial services across International Markets helping to ensure business decisions are made using the best possible quantitative insight and analysis.

Your new role

Reporting to the Reserving Manageryoullsupport actuarial activity across International Markets working closely with stakeholders across Actuarial Finance and the wider business to deliver highquality analysis and insight.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the forecasting ofreservesand reserve uncertainty for reporting business planning profitabilitystudiesand commutations.

  • Developing an understanding of the key business drivers for the areas you support

  • Usingappropriate systemsand procedures to ensureaccuratedata is used and robust analyses are produced including the use of efficient and consistent actuarial modelsprocessesand technologies

  • Performingappropriate checkswithin processes to minimise inaccuracies

  • Supporting compliance with all relevant legalregulatoryand professional actuarial standards as well as internal European and global reporting requirements

  • Assisting the Reserving Manager to ensure processes are aligned to business needs and remain fit for purpose

  • Building andmaintainingstrong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to improve customer focus

About you

Youllbe a partqualified actuary with experience working within an actuarial function in a General or Specialty insurer. You may come from a reserving background but we would also welcome candidates with strong experience in pricing capital or planning who are keen to broaden their actuarial exposure.

Youllbring a strong analytical mindset the ability to work independently and confidence engaging with stakeholders across the business.

Skills and experienceyoullneed:

  • Experience working within an actuarial function in a General or Specialty insurance environment

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate data effectively

  • Advanced Excel skills and experience using other analytical tools

  • Ability to organise and manage your own workload to meet deadlines

  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Ability to influence both directly and indirectly

  • Experience working within defined processes and controls
