About the role

As a Disability Support Worker working in the Metro Adelaide area you will be dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of individuals in your local community. We are looking for candidates with experience in the Disability industry who are eager to make a difference and help the people we support live their best lives.
You will be working in either our Lifestyles or Supported Independent Living Program (SIL) and will be required to provide transportation in your own vehicle so a valid Australian drivers licence and your own registered and insured vehicle are a requirement.
Shifts will range from day work split shifts weekends and overnights.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred support to clients in line with their support needs preferences individual support plans and funding. Participate in community activities and encourage clients to perform daily living tasks
- Establish meaningful relationships with clients their families supporters and advocates to work towards positive outcomes for clients.
- Complete documentation and reporting requirements including completing case notes documenting incidents and any other requirements of the role.
- Commitment to a 24/7 roster including sleepover shifts & weekends
Skills & Experience
- Qualifications in Disability or similar will be highly regarded
- Proactive and energetic approach to providing support
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence and own reliable vehicle
- Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) certificate
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check an NDIS Worker Screening Check and a Working with Childrens Check.
