PrincipalAccountabilities
Conduct prioritization exercise and refine roadmap for engagement with EIB Global EIB institute and support member-led European Investment Fund (EIF) work
Develop SC Value Statement:
Articulate SCs unique value proposition for engagement with EIB Global/EIF aligned with SCs strategic priorities and funding objectives
Design Spotlight Initiatives:
1. Draft initial concepts (Draft 0) for two spotlight initiatives SC could propose to EIB Global EIB Institute (and EIF).
2. Conduct screening and clustering of SC and SC Global Ventures (SCGV) ongoing and pipeline initiatives to identify synergies and high-potential areas.
Credibility Package:
Compile SCs key expert profiles technical credentials and success stories into a credibility package for external engagement.
Networking building and engagement facilitation:
1. Identify 810 warm contacts within EIB Global EIB Institute (and EIF) relevant to SCs strategic priorities
2. Support networking building with key stakeholder within EIB Global EIB Institute (and EIF)
3. Arrange and support meetings with EIB Global EIB Institute (and EIF) to test proposed directions gather feedback and refine spotlight initiatives
Experience and Skills
Essential
- Considerable relevant experience in strategic partnerships with IFIs and MDBs donor engagement or institutional relations.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English.
- Previous experience working with or engaging multilateral development banks (MDBs) international financial institutions (IFIs) or similar entities (mandatory)
- Good knowledge of EIB structures priorities and funding mechanisms is a strong asset (desirable)
- Background in innovative funding models blended finance or impact investment
- Understanding of global development priorities and donor landscapes
- Experience in portfolio analysis and identifying high-potential initiatives for strategic partnerships
- Demonstrated success in building networks and facilitating introductions at senior levels.
- Previous exposure and/or understanding of INGO model of delivery and partnerships between civil society and DFI is highly valued
- Capacity to coordinate with relevant internal taskforces and steering committee

- Leadership skills with an external orientation situational agility strategic vision and commitment to delivering results
- Excellent relationship building skills with the ability to network with and influence senior people both internally and externally to achieve a pre-defined outcome
- Insightful and analytic with the ability to communicate and thinking clearly to both internal and external audiences
- Entrepreneurial with the ability to identify opportunities and execute them strongly using novel approaches or techniques as appropriate
- Commitment to Save the Childrens mission values and approach (includes child focus and equal opportunities)
- Strategic planning skills in relation to positioning with donors and in prioritising engagement focus;
- Self-driven with the ability to take a pro-active approach work on own initiative solve problems and think creatively in fluid or less structured environments
- A proven team player - someone who is open and ambitious
Education and Qualifications
Essential
- Advanced degree diploma or relevant experience in International Development Finance Economics Business Administration or related field.
- Relevant and proven experience in strategic partnerships with international finance institutions (IFIs) and multilateral development banks (MDBs) donor engagement or institutional relations.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English are essential.
Desirable
A good working level of French will be a strong advantage.
