We are looking for a Classification Analyst to join our team and help manage our clients needs regarding analyzing the technical characteristics of products and assigning proper export and import classifications.
Classification Analyst responsibilities might include the analysis and assignment of tariff classifications for products ensuring their correct classification in accordance with the Harmonized System and applicable customs regulations.
Ultimately you will be workingin an International team that allow us to provide a 24/7 service to our client.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret binding classification rulings explanatory notes and relevant precedents to ensure consistent and compliant tariff classifications
- Track deadlines and due dates for all requested classifications and work closely with Manager and team members to prioritize and meet time frames
- Demonstrate an understanding of the clients industry classification needs and deadlines works with team to meet deadlines with quality deliverables
- Provide in-depth analysis of controversial cases
- Build strong relationship with all team members
- Develop relationship with client and respond to client questions directly as appropriate
Requirements and skills
- Proven Intermediate/ Advance English level (written and spoken)
- Good/ Strong communication skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Outlook Teams PowerPoint) and other business application software (PBI; Alteryx; etc) Preferred.
- A bachelors degree in Foreign Trade Engineering or a similar field preferred
- Export Control classification knowledge is a plus
