Manage inventory level of OR supplies; assure proper maintenance and repair of OR equipment; responsible for efficient and effective management of the resources and personnel in the sterile processing department.

RN/Nurse Manager

Supervises:

Sterile Supply Tech I and II

Required Education:

Minimum: High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred: Vocational/Technical School Degree

Required Experience:

Minimum: 1 year sterile processing experience

Required Certification/License/Registry:

Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) credential from the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) formerly the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management (IAHCSMM) or the Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) credential from the Certification Board For Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) within one (1) year post-hire

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS.Completion of a sterile processing course and/or a vocational/technical school diploma/degree in surgical than one (1) year of sterile processing Surgical Technologist (CST) credential from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
