Come Drive Innovation with Us. We are currently looking for a Buyer 1 Supply Chain & Purchasing to join our team in Farmington Hills MI.

In this role youll manage a group of commodities partnering closely with internal experts to support sourcing initiatives cost reduction efforts and project management activities. Youll analyze data and provide actionable recommendations assist managers and buyers with strategic planning and track and report monthly progress on sourcing activities savings and process improvements.

The role also involves coordinating with internal teams and suppliers to ensure required documentation and data are in place validating system data for accurate reporting and preparing timely accurate presentations as needed.

A Day in the Life

• Negotiate and establish commodity pricing while supporting costreduction goals.

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans including supplier comparisons and selection.

• Partner with internal stakeholders (engineering end users client groups) to align on requirements and specifications.

• Manage contracts purchase orders and cost changes for assigned commodities.

• Plan track and validate costreduction initiatives and savings.

• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure contract compliance and resolve quality cost and delivery issues while maintaining accurate purchasing data and reporting progress toward goals.

Who Were Looking For

Required:

• 0-2 years of related experience in a professional businessatmosphere.

• Bachelors degree in a business major (i.e. Finance SCM Marketing) or related discipline (i.e. Engineering).

• Consider equivalent related college or technical courses seminars and in-house classroom training.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.

• Ability to work on-site in Farmington Hills MI with minimal travel.
