Job Summary

Description

In an environment of continuous quality improvement the Audiologist is responsible for providing direct patient services. Exhibits the MHS Standards of Excellence and exercises strict confidentiality at all times.

Job Functions:

  1. Performs quality audiological and hearing aid evaluations.
  2. Selects and fits the most appropriate hearing aid for patient as well as assistive listening devices.
  3. Independently obtains prior authorization for services provided orders hearing aids and expands hearing aid sales.
  4. Completes documentation in a thorough and professional manner and in accordance with all policies procedures and in compliance with ACHCstandards.
  5. Demonstrates effective teaching skills.
  6. Collaborates with other providers to facilitate the optimal outcome for each patient.
  7. Assumes all other duties and responsibilities as necessary.


Qualifications

Minimum Education/Experience Required:

  • Master of Science or Arts in Audiology with Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology by The American Speech Language and Hearing Association and Ohio State licensure
  • Three or more years experience preferred.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Maintain compliance in RQI.

Special Knowledge Skills Training:

  • Position requires leadership qualities excellent interpersonal organizational and business skills.
  • Must be self-motivated and decisive.

Compensation Details:Education experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
