Job Summary
We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a full timeRegional Director of Spiritual Counselorspositionin theHouston area.
Job Description:
The Regional Director of Spiritual Counselors will supervise train and educate the Spiritual Counselors within the assigned region to provide excellence in delivery of spiritual care for patient family and staff; that are consistent with the beliefs and desire of those being served.
Qualifications:
- Must have a high school diploma or the equivalent.
- Must have training in spiritual care by an accepted religious organization.
- Must have Clinical Pastoral Education or equivalent counseling courses.
- Must have direct hospice experience
- Supervisory experience is required
- Must have prior experience in religious counseling.
- Must have been ordained or credential in religious organization of choice.
- Must have knowledge and sound understanding of agency philosophy and its concepts of care.
- Must have knowledge of and ability to apply spiritual counseling techniques in a wide variety of situations.
- Must have the ability to work comfortably in a non-denominational or multi denominationalenvironment.
- Must have the ability to apply spiritual truths in an affirming and comforting manner.
- Must have the ability to respond and function appropriately in crisis situation.
- Must have some knowledge of thanatology and various religious approaches to and beliefs.
- Must have the ability to conduct educational seminars and training for civic church volunteer and professional groups.
